Job Description

The National Account Director implements and coordinates the Management strategies for specific US accounts. This individual is responsible for managing and directing the implementation of sales plans and initiatives that the CEO and President set forth.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • The priorities for this position include:
    • Knowledge of US Department Stores: Macys, Ulta, Nordstrom and Dillards.
    • Planning
    • Retailer Relationships/Service
    • Sales Growth Within Existing Accounts   
  • Maintains relationships with Key Accounts to make sales plans and align Company strategy with theirs.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to achieve desired results.   
  • Follows direction of company owners in implementing strategies.
  • Develops and manages P&L's of assigned accounts.
  • Directs the implementation and execution of related sales policies and practices.
  • Responsible for identifying sales opportunities within existing accounts and managing key customer relationships and participating in negotiations to close strategic opportunities.
  • Travels for in-person meetings with retailers and partners to develop key relationships, resolve any high level issues and maintain strong knowledge of the reatilers strategic plans.
  • Plans all collateral and sample programs for accounts.
  • Presents information regarding customers and market at company meetings.


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
  • Broad product and brand knowledge within the Cosmetics and Beauty Industry required.
  • Minimal travel up to 20%.
  • In-depth knowledge of Macys, Nordstrom, Ulta and Dillards.
  • Experience successfully executing launch of sales plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and through people to achieve results.
  • Ability to plan a 2 year account plan that requires forecasting and budgets.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including highly developed presentation skills.
  • Strong persuasive abilities.
