Our cosmetics company is looking for a Human Resources Manager, to lead the HR function at our 100+ employee warehouse/distribution center.

This HR Manager will be a strategic partner to the leadership team and be experienced in benefits administration, employee relations, safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities for the HR Manager include:

  • Partner with Warehouse Leadership to help achieve corporate goals and objective
  • Work closely with Corporate HR Manager to develop and deliver of HR policies and procedures across the company.
  • Ensure compliance with company and governmental rules and regulations
  • Act as consultant to management on HR issues including employee relations, policy interpretation and training
  • Work with management on maintaining a positive work environment, emphasizing communication and leadership training
  • Plan and direct recruiting, staffing and retention programs with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified candidates
  • Participate in the implementation of new payroll software system.
  • Maintain employee payroll profiles and ensure that new hire and staff changes are input properly.
  • Assure fairness and consistency within company pay structure and maintain records
  • Handle all benefits administration including 401k implementation and administration,work with executives to design appropriate plans, administer and promote employee awareness and understanding
  • Assist with department budgeting including training, safety, benefits and related activities
  • Plan, administer and supervise training programs, including on-boarding, safety and employee development
  • Actively participate in Safety Committee, providing leadership and guidance

Job Requirements

Requirements include:

  • Bachelors' degree in HR or related field
  • At least 7+ years of HR experience, and 5 in an HR managerial role
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office software and experience with payroll input and administration 
  • Must have warehousing / distribution or manufacturing experience 
  • Candidates must have knowledge of employee relations best practices, be skilled in positively handling conflict, and properly handling investigations.   
  • Excellent management and leadership skills including leading an HR staff.
